Cem Soysal
Founding Partner
Cem Soysal has been a founding partner at DSG Investment Inc., specializing in strategic investments, mergers, and acquisitions since January 2024. Prior to this, he served as the General Manager of Koç Holding’s venture capital investment company, Inventram Technology Investments Inc., for 14 years. He has a total of 28 years of senior management experience, including roles in the Information Technologies sector, having held CEO and Group President positions at Vestel Group, Doğan Online Group, and Fujitsu Siemens.
Soysal holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Pace University in the USA, and an Executive MBA from Columbia University in the USA. Additionally, he has completed the Senior Management Program on Disruptive Strategy at Harvard University.
He serves on the boards of various companies and institutions both domestically and internationally. Additionally, he is a member of the board of Galata Business Angels, the General Assembly of Galatasaray Sports Club, the Board of ITU Alumni Association, GYIAD (Young Businessmen Association of Turkey), and the Board Members Association of Turkey.
In 2000, Soysal was awarded as one of the “Top Young Platinum Executives of Turkey” by Platin Magazine. In 2016, he was selected as one of “Turkey's Most Influential 25 Business Leaders” by Doğan Group’s Start-Up Magazine, a list that also included notable figures such as Ali Sabancı, Emre Kurttepeli, and Hüsnü Özyeğin. He is fluent in English and French.
Oktay Demir
Founding Partner
Oktay Demir has been a founding partner at DSG Investment Inc., specializing in strategic investments, mergers, and acquisitions since January 2024. Practicing law since 1997, Oktay Demir has served as a legal advisor, executive board member, and board of directors member in Doğan TV Holding's media and telecommunications companies since 2006. He also held the position of CEO at D-Smart between 2018 and 2020.
Oktay Demir completed his undergraduate degree at Marmara University Faculty of Law, where he also earned a Master's degree.
Demir has been a board member of many sectoral organizations such as the Association of Access Providers, the Association of Television Broadcasters, and Telkoder. He continues to serve as a consultant and board member for numerous companies alongside his entrepreneurial activities.
Ali Güven
Founding Partner
Ali Güven is a graduate of TED Ankara College and the Computer Engineering Department of the Middle East Technical University.
He began his professional career at Enka-Saudi Arabia and then held various positions at IBM from 1989 to 2005.
Starting in 1989 as a Finance Sector Sales Representative at IBM Turk, Ali Güven became the Sales Coordinator at I-BIMSA, a joint venture between IBM and SABANCI, in 1994, and later managed Sales for IBM Turk Main-Frame and Storage Hardware Products.
In 1997, he was appointed as the Director of Tivoli Systems Operations at IBM EMEA in Paris. In 1999, he returned to IBM Turk as the Deputy General Manager responsible for Business Partners.
Retiring from IBM Turk in 1995, he then served as the CEO and Vice Chairman of the Executive Board at Logo Software from 2006 to 2011.
At the end of 2011, he moved to D-Smart, part of Doğan Holding, where he served as CEO and Board Member until mid-2016.
In mid-2016, he managed the MEA executive partnership of the Italian consultancy firm Value Partners from Dubai.
From 2019 to 2021, he was the CEO of Netcad Geospatial Software Company. At the beginning of 2022, Ali Güven retired from his professional career and founded Teatechs Smart Solutions, the developer of Arppha Smart Agriculture, a leading smart farming application family in Turkey.
